We hope you all had an enjoyable half term break :)

So, this week looked a bit like this: -

  • Everyone had fun dancing the night away at the Valentines Disco - a big thank you to staff for manning this 🙂
  • Year 2 had a visit from LEAF Education on Monday.  They discussed and discovered the story of wheat from field to fork.

This involved looking at what plants need to grow, the crops that farmers grow and what food items these crops are the main ingredients of.  They also looked at wheat stems, took the grains out and found them to make flour.

  • Year 6 and Year 2 had fun over at Forest Schools
  • Year 1 enjoyed their afternoon with Progressive Sport
  • A big 'thank you' to our Year 6 parents who came along to our 'Watch Me Learn' session on Thursday - it was lovely to see so many of you - we do hope you enjoyed the experience!  🙂
  • Also, a big 'thank you' for those parents who attended our APP workshop on Friday morning - we hope the information provided was helpful in keeping your children safe on the internet at home

Looking ahead to next week: -

  • Year 1 and Reception class have Forest Schools on Monday - children need to wear old warm clothes and MUST BRING A CHANGE OF FOOTWEAR (wellies are ideal)
  • Swimming for Year 4 as normal - a reminder to leave jewellery at home
  • Year 3 have Progressive Sports on Tuesday afternoon - children can come to school in their PE kits
  • On Thursday it's the turn of Year 5 for their 'Watch Me Learn' sessions.   Parents are invited along to this session.  Please report to the office and leave mobile devices at home.  The session will start promptly at 9am.  We ask that only one parent per child attends due to limited space 🙂

And that's it!!

Have a fabulous weekend and we'll see you all on Monday

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂

A big shout out: -

If anyone has any football boots that they no longer want and don't mind donating to school, then please drop off at the school office.  Sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6 would be amazing 🙂
